# Get a Client Intake Application original file

`client_intake_applications.get_answer_file_download`

Retrieve an original uploaded file from a Client Intake Application for inspection or document processing. List files first and pass its file id. Public callers receive a five-minute download: GET its URL with transfer_token as Bearer credential outside the model; no API key. Downloads recheck current access and file availability; unrelated answer edits do not invalidate them. Internal agents receive a staged_file handle for download_attachment into the sandbox. Keep transfer credentials private. This does not change or remove the application's file.
