# Read intake document text

`client_intake_applications.get_file_text`

Read extracted text from a currently visible client intake attachment. List answer files first for file_id. Follow next_offset for the remaining text and retain source_checksum when comparing pages. Missing or failed extraction does not mean the document is empty. This read does not start extraction, change answers, or enable public sharing.
